Kencrest Avenue

This is a two bedroom apartment in the North end of Halifax in a quiet neighborhood with bus stops right across the street to get to Dalhousie. It is a non-smoking building, and the lease is a year long, starting on August 1st, 2023 and ending July 31st, 2024. The rent only includes water, so electricity ranges from $100-$225 (per person) bimonthly depending on the weather, and the internet is a monthly bill of $67.50 (per person). The apartment comes with a dishwasher, washer, dryer, and a full sized fridge and stove. Since I already have a cat (the limit is 1), no more pets can be brought into the apartment. I am looking for a female identifying roommate in their 20s who is quiet, clean, responsible, and who ideally has experience living with roommates. An ideal candidate does not intend to bring people over too often, and also does not intend to have parties at this apartment. I do not have a parking space here (I don’t drive) but that is something you could discuss with the landlord/property manager for an additional cost, but it would not be guaranteed.

I am a 22 year old Dalhousie student majoring in English, and I will be entering my fourth year this fall. I have a cat named Mushroom who lives at the apartment too (and she is RIDICULOUSLY social), so any potential roommate will need to be good with cats and very responsible about not letting her slip through the front door when coming in and out. I have lived here for a year already (I had an ex boyfriend move out in March), so everything is furnished except for your bedroom (including dishes and cutlery). The area and unit are wonderfully maintained, and I am hoping to find someone who can respectfully enjoy this space.
