Hello! I’m a single mom, half-time parent to a cutie energetic boy, almost 6 years old. I’m looking to share a large home with outdoor space in the NW.

Panorama, Edgemont, Arbour Lake, Hawkwood, Citadel, are all possibilities.

I’m looking for a female roommate who likes kids and doesn’t mind a friendly cat. Masters in Education at the U of C? This might be the place. Another single mom with kid around the same age? Possible, if our parenting styles are similar. International students are also welcome; and I’d be happy to see if a mature woman might also be a good fit. (I’m in my 40s.)

I am interviewing for houses to rent myself; so this is about teaming up!

I work from home so I require 2 bedrooms (me and kiddo) and a separate dedicated office space.

I see several options for houses that have a main floor den, or extra dining room; plus 3 bedrooms up; that would be in the right price range. Approx 1600 for me, 800-900 for you, plus a portion of utilities. Sharing internet would be great.

I think my son and I could have the two smaller rooms and share the main bathroom; plus den for my office; and you, our roomie, could have the larger Primary Bedroom and en-suite bathroom, usually a big walk in closet in these kinds of homes, plus enough room for a desk or sitting area in the Primary Bedroom, so you have your own “away” space from the larger household.

I am looking for someone who has/ can get her vulnerable sector police clearance (living with a young child).

We cook fairly regularly and are happy to share meals, or not.

Little children come with big chaos but we do our best to keep kitchen clean and functional, and things put away in main rooms.

Parking - usually the kind of homes I’m looking at have a two car garage, in which case we could share that as well.

Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind, no partiers, preference is for someone who uses no alcohol either (or extremely rarely). No hardcore conservatives please. We have a joyful house, naturally, and value a heart-centred approach to life.
