Its a great neighbourhood, with everything you need in walking distance! Reasturants, dentists, groceries, etc.

Buses frequent the area, and many stops are super close by. Plus there is ample parking behind the house if you have a vehicle!

The room you will be renting is a private room with a small ensuite bathroom. It is located near the kitchen, at the back of the house. A queen bed will fit in the room, but a smaller bed would give you more space for other furniture. (The room doesnt have a closet. Thats ‘old house’ quirkyness for you, I’m afraid.)

All bills are included; Heat/electricity, water, and internet!

There is no forced air system for heating and cooling. Baseboard heating is the main heat source. You can buy a window AC to put in your bedroom window if you want cooling in summer.

We already have a pile of kitchen stuff for you to use, and common space furnishings like a couch and dining table are already in place. So you only have to move in your own bedroom furnishings, and bring your own food and cleaning supplies!

The house has a laundry machine and dryer in the basement, free for your use!

We also have outdoor space you can use. There is a picnic table, a fire pit, and some chairs. Plus lots of space for you to put in a planter and grow stuff!

The basement has a small gym space with a punching bag, exercise bike, and a mat covered area for general stuff. There is storage space down there too.

You can also put a computer desk down there if you want, we just have to find a good spot for it. We are very flexible on the usage of the common spaces!

Since this house is a Duplex, you will be sharing the living space on the main floor of the house with one other roomate, Patricio. So its really more like living in a 2 bed 2 bath house, with one main roommate.

It’s an old house, well over 100 years old! So while it has a lot of charm and cool features, its also wonky with old house problems like wierd layouts, sizes of doorways, sound traveling, and so on. They sure built things differently back then, haha.

I am renting it as-is, and don’t plan for any big renovations.

I will mostly be upstairs in my own part of the duplex. I take care of the cleaning upstairs so you dont have to worry about that at all.

You will see me on occasion using the shared spaces like the basement gym, front yard, storing something downstairs, or passing through to do stuff like checking for packages that might have been delivered at the front door. But I mostly stay in my space, so you wont see me a ton.

First there is me, Victoria, I live in the upper half of the house!

Its pretty seperate, it has its own kitchen and bathrooms, so you wont see me too much. I keep things extremely clean and tidy up there.

My mother travels alot right now, enjoying her retirement, so in the summer she will often visit me and stay as a guest for a while.

I am a big nerd who plays D&D a few times a week, and I also play boardgames and computer games too. I have friends over often for games.

KitKat is the resident upper floor cat, and pest control professional. No mouse dares to step foot in here under her watchful eye! She’s a gentle, fluffy lady who is 11 years old.

She stays upstairs in my part of the duplex and there is a dividing door, so there should be no problems with you having a cat or two of your own who claims the main floor as their territory.

There is also the current roommate living on the main floor, Patricio. He likes videogames and relaxing in front of his big TV!

He is the one you will have to get along with best as he will be sharing the main floor with you, but he is very chill.
