Its a great neighbourhood, with everything you need in walking distance! Reasturants, dentists, groceries, etc.

Buses frequent the area, and the stops are close by, and there is ample parking behind the house for if you have a vehicle.

The room you will be renting is a private room with a small ensuite bathroom. All bills are included, heat, electricity, water, and internet! We already have a pile of kitchen stuff for you to use, and common space furnishings already in place. You only have to move in your own bedroom furnishings, and bring your own food and cleaning supplies!

The house has a laundry machine and dryer in the basement, free for all to use! Just dont overload it with a large load of clothes, and clean out the lint trap on the dryer regularily!

We also have outdoor stuff you can use! There is a picnic table and a BBQ, and a fire pit and some chairs. Plus lots of space for you to put in a planter and grow something! (It just has to be removable when you leave.)

The basement has a crude gym space with a punching bag, exersise bike, and a mat covered area for general exersise. There is storage space down there too!

You can also put a computer desk down there if you want, just gotta rearrainge things a bit or find a good spot for it. Honestly I hardly use the exersise stuff so we can always shrink the gym space a bit if you need that space for something else. We can be very flexible on the usage of the common spaces!

You will be sharing the living space in the lower/main part of the house with one other roomate who is already here.

Both of you will be responsible for keeping that part of the house clean and tidy, as well as helping out in winter with a bit of snow shovelling so we all can enjoy clear paths to walk on to enter and exit the house. (No lawn mowing or yard maintenance required!)

Its an old house, over 100 years old! So it has a lot of charm and cool features, but its also wonky with old house problems like wierd layouts, sizes of things like doorways, and so on.

There is no forced air system for heating and cooling, its that old! Baseboard heating is the default here, and you can buy an AC to put in your bedroom window if you want cooling. Some parts are pretty new and upgraded, like the windows, but other parts are super old, like the floors. We are renting it as-is, and don’t plan for any renovations.

My mother and I will be upstairs in our own space (the house has two levels), but we are technically roomates too and you will see us on occasion using the basement or front yard, or passing through to do cat related chores. We try not to intrude much, but it will happen on occasion.

Speaking of, we also have a cat named KitKat, who will be living with you too! So feel free to befriend her and get cuddles if ya want.

First there is me, Victoria, the owner, and then my mother Ana. We live in the upper half of the house. Its pretty seperate, it has its own kitchen and bathrooms, so you wont see us too much. We keep things very clean and tidy!

My mother travels alot right now in her retirement, and is enjoying her free time. I am a big nerd who plays D&D a few times a week, and I also play boardgames and computergames too. I read alot too.

Then there is the current roommate living on the main floor in one of the two bedrooms, Patricio. He likes videogames!

KitKat is the resident cat, and pest control professional. No mouse dares to step foot in here under her watchful eye! She’s a gentle lady, who is 10 years old, although fair warning, since she is a fluffy long-haired cat, she can get a bit hairbally sometimes. (Just let me know if ya find one and I will come clean it up asap! I take full responsibility for her shenanigans.)
