About the room
Located in the Junction and only a 15 minute walk to high park. Close to Keele station and Dundas W station as well as buses on the street. Beautiful area with grocery stores in walking distance and many great restaurants especially vegan ones!
The apartment is a two bedroom with a living room, kitchen, laundry in the building, parking available on street, and shared washroom.
In the living room there are some shelves, a small table, and a cabinet, and a coat hanger. Keep in mind some of the stuff you see in the pictures will be gone as it is my current roommates. I am open to sharing that stuff. You are welcome to use the closet furniture piece in living room as your room does not have one. You may also take up more space in living room since your room is slightly smaller. The building is in good shape and I have seen no cockroach infestations as of yet. Your bedroom has a big skylight but no window.
Accessibility: This apartment is on the second floor of the building and has no elevator. I do not use many scents but I cook and use spices and I also use essential oils sometimes. The washroom lights are more fluorescent but the living room lights are not but there is not natural lighting in the kitchen/living room. I am also sober. The fire alarms are not visual ones and there are not grab bars.
Cost: $1060 plus electricity, wifi, and tenant insurance. Wifi is 23.45, you will on average pay $40 ish for hydro and tenant insurance is around $16.
About the roomies
About me: I am a white, lesbian (she/they), autistic person and I am 28 years old. I am a vegan, intersectional total liberation activist, I am spiritual (non-religious), introverted but I value community and healing. I am quiet but I do take singing lessons and practice everyday. I also practice respectful direct communication. I do dog sitting frequently and am often gone for a week or longer. Queer safety: I am queer and I practice educating myself regularly about different queer identities and I practice being intersectional, anti-oppressive, I try to decolonize my actions and thinking and try to unlearn oppression. —–Preferences: living in a vegan/anti-speciesist household (but open to non-vegans) What I need for accessibility: I need a relatively quiet space (but I know you need to live and with living comes noise), I also need a roommate that is clean, responsible, kind, and has healthy communication. I also do not like scents like perfumes, vapes etc.
