Brad

My name is Brad Assheton-Smith. I am a Canadian living in California, but my mother is in memory care in Calgary. With recent turmoil here I have quit my job and imagine myself retired from my life as a caregiver of 10 years, and before that was a Buddhist monk for over 20 years.

I am 56, single, male, friendly and respectful. I play guitar but I am very careful not to bother people I live with. I value highly open and authentic communication, and consider roommates that value healthy communication a must.

I am not employed at the moment and hope to stay that way. In my free time much of it will be visiting my mother, or out in cafes where I like to read and write. I also plan on exploring much of Alberta in search of a more permanent home in the year or two to come.

I will have with me one medium size vehicle.

It’s more important to me to find good housemates than a good place. At this point, I just want open, friendly, respectful and reliable housemates. I myself mostly keep to myself, but like the idea of occasional house activities to build a sense of community. (Game / movie nights, or something like that).
