Hey Folks,

I’m a 23y/o nonbinary in Cambridge currently looking for roommates to share my apartment with.

I am looking for ideally 1 person to pay 750 + 30 for internet. The total rent for the apartment is 2400/m utilities all included shared between you, me, and my friend in the 3rd bedroom. Internet is 90/m under my name.

The apartment itself is a 3 bed, 1 bath unit in a triplex. There’s in unit laundry, plenty of storage, central heating, and a window AC unit for the summer (it’s deceptively powerful). The unit is the main floor of a house with a small private backyard and small front yard with garden plots. There are 3 steps with a railing to get on the porch/to the front door from the front yard, and 4 steps without a railing for the back yard.

The bedrooms is somewhat standard bedroom size. I haven’t measured, but I’d assume it to be about 10x8 or so. It has a built in closet. The bedroom will be unfurnished for move-in so you will have to provide your own furniture.

The washroom has a full jetted tub with one step to get in that can be somewhat slippery. I have slip mats on the step, but it could be difficult if you have mobility issues. There is no grip bar or other accessibility devices.

The apartment has its own kitchen, living room, and dining room. I have the entire place except for the bedroom fully furnished.

The apartment is very close to transit, and about a 10 minute walk from 2 grocery stores, a Dollarama, and the Galt Downtown area.

There’s no smoking inside the unit, on the porch and backyard is fine though. I prefer no pets as I and my friend are both allergic.

I work second shift, so you have to be okay with me being up at late times (12-5am) doing dishes, showering, etc. My friend does not work (he is on ODSP) but is fairly shy and quiet so he stays in his room a lot.

About me: I can be very social, or I can be very quiet. It really depends on the day I’ve had and how tired I am. I like to chill on the couch and watch TV, play video games, bake, garden, and cook. I do sometimes have small parties or host breakfast/lunch/dinner with friends - not usually more than once a month - so I do hope to find someone who’s okay with occasional sleepovers and social events.

I work second shift in a warehouse in Brantford, so I tend to be out during the afternoon and get home at 11:30-midnightish. I take a shower and wash my food containers/prep my food for the next day as soon as I get home, which isn’t loud but could disturb people who aren’t used to afternoon shift. I try not to be intrusive about it but I figure it’s worth mentioning anyways.

I’m really hoping to find roommates I can be friends with that have similar interests. I really prioritize cleanliness (I have bad experiences with roommates not cleaning up after themselves).

My friend is 25 years old, male, and on ODSP. He is deathly allergic to peanuts, so they just have to be kept away from the stuff he eats. He’s pretty shy at first but incredibly into film so if you give him a chance he’ll yap your ear off about his current movie hyperfixation. He is also pretty nocturnal, so he tends to be awake late.
